Storyline:
Pathaan is a high-octane Indian action thriller that follows the journey of a fearless RAW agent, Pathaan, played by Shah Rukh Khan. The story is set in a time when India revokes Article 370, which escalates tensions with neighboring Pakistan. In response, a Pakistani army general seeks revenge and hires Outfit X, a deadly private terrorist organization led by Jim (John Abraham), a former Indian agent who has turned rogue.
Jim, once a loyal servant of India, was betrayed by his own country during a covert mission. His pregnant wife was killed, and Jim, left to die, now seeks vengeance by planning a massive bioterror attack on India using a virus codenamed “Raktbeej.” With the fate of the nation hanging in the balance, the Indian intelligence agency RAW brings back Pathaan from exile to stop this catastrophic plan.
Pathaan was previously presumed dead after a failed mission. He had attempted to create an undercover unit to fight against global terrorism, but the project was sabotaged. Now reactivated, Pathaan begins a global chase to stop Jim and Outfit X. During his mission, he meets Rubina Mohsin (Deepika Padukone), a former ISI agent. Although she appears to be working with Jim, her real loyalties remain unclear.
Rubina initially helps Pathaan escape but later betrays him by stealing the virus. However, it is revealed that she was forced into the situation and now wants to help stop the bioweapon attack. Despite trust issues, Pathaan and Rubina join forces to prevent the release of Raktbeej in Indian cities.
Their pursuit of Jim takes them across countries—Russia, France, Dubai, and Afghanistan—leading to high-stakes fights, chases, and close escapes. As the plot intensifies, Jim begins releasing parts of his plan, putting millions of lives at risk. The action escalates with a memorable train fight, aerial battle, and a deadly confrontation in a frozen fortress.
In the climax, Pathaan and Jim face off in a brutal battle in the mountains. With grit and determination, Pathaan defeats Jim, and Rubina successfully disables the virus. The threat is neutralized, and the nation is saved from disaster.
In the aftermath, Pathaan is honored and reinstated by RAW. He is tasked with forming a new special ops unit to counter future threats. The movie ends with a surprise cameo by Tiger (Salman Khan), hinting at a larger spy universe and future missions.
Pathaan is not just an action-packed movie, but also a story of loyalty, betrayal, patriotism, and redemption. It highlights the inner battles of a soldier who must fight enemies outside and doubts within, proving that true heroes rise even when the odds are against them.
