Storyline:
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion continues the epic saga of Mahishmati and the royal bloodline of Baahubali. The film opens with a flashback revealing how Amarendra Baahubali was declared the future king of the kingdom due to his bravery, compassion, and leadership qualities. However, his jealous cousin Bhallaladeva, along with their cunning uncle Bijjaladeva, conspires to dethrone him.
Baahubali falls in love with Devasena, a fierce and independent warrior princess. He promises to marry her and bring her to Mahishmati, but Queen Sivagami, feeling disrespected, is manipulated into choosing Bhallaladeva as king and expelling Baahubali from the palace. Despite being stripped of his crown, Baahubali continues to serve the people selflessly.
Bhallaladeva’s tyranny grows, and he feels threatened by Baahubali’s popularity. Eventually, he tricks Sivagami into ordering Baahubali’s death. Kattappa, the royal slave and commander who is bound to follow the queen’s command, is forced to kill Baahubali — a moment that shook the entire kingdom.
In the present timeline, Mahendra Baahubali (Amarendra’s son), raised in exile, returns to Mahishmati to fulfill his father's legacy. With the help of Kattappa and the people, he leads a revolution against Bhallaladeva. After a fierce battle, Mahendra defeats Bhallaladeva and brings justice to his father's name.
The film concludes with Mahendra Baahubali being crowned as the new ruler of Mahishmati. The kingdom finally sees peace and justice restored, ending the long era of betrayal and tyranny.
Baahubali 2 delivers powerful emotions, heroic action sequences, and a majestic cinematic experience that answers the long-standing question: “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”
